The 15th of August, is always a moment of pride and reflection for our nation.
At National Public School, Vibhuthipura, this year’s Independence Day celebrations captured both the spirit of sacrifice and the promise of a brighter tomorrow.
A Day of Pride and Patriotism
The celebration began with the flag hoisting ceremony, led by our Guest of Honour Commander Raghunandan Mathihalli Indian Navy, Retired, Director, Dr. Y.G.Patil, and our Principal, Mrs. Deepa. S, followed by the singing of the National Anthem. The solemn moment was infused with pride as students, staff, and parents stood together to honour the tricolour.
The ceremony also included a march past by our students — a disciplined and spirited display that symbolised unity, responsibility, and the collective energy of a new generation.
Guest Speeches that Inspired
Invited dignitaries and guests addressed the gathering with stirring words that reminded students of the responsibility that comes with freedom. Their messages focused on the values of discipline, innovation, empathy, and service to the nation. The speeches encouraged young learners to live their freedom meaningfully by contributing to society and respecting diversity.
Theme – “Honouring Freedom, Inspiring the Future”
One of the highlights of the day was the vibrant cultural show presented by Grades 2–7. Themed “Honouring Freedom, Inspiring the Future”, the performance beautifully captured:
- The timeline of India’s independence struggle, showcasing the courage and sacrifices of countless freedom fighters.
- Post-independence achievements, inspiring students to continue striving for progress and innovation.
- Music, dance, drama, and storytelling that brought history alive with passion and patriotism.
The atmosphere was charged with emotion as patriotic songs filled the air, dances symbolised unity, and skits retold the heroic stories of India’s freedom. The energetic display of national pride left the audience enthralled.
More Than a Celebration
At NPS Vibhuthipura, Independence Day is not only about remembering the past but also about inspiring our students to carry forward the legacy of responsibility, resilience, and respect. Through such celebrations, we nurture young leaders who are ready to serve the nation with character and compassion.
